The Republic of Dada
Here is a great example of how Dada typography has been co-opted by the mainstream. Pair it with any number of examples (maybe Heartfield's Dada Fair catalog cover, 3.45) to demonstrate the longterm impact of the style. There is a great deal to discuss with students both in terms of style as well as social history; also the theoretical concept of "reification" could be introduced.
